On Tuesday, September 2, the North Dakota Tribal College System proudly hosted FARMS to Table 2025 at North Dakota’s Gateway to Science in Bismarck—an unforgettable evening celebrating the richness of Indigenous agriculture and the innovations shaping the future of food. The event was held in partnership with the NSF Ag Tech Engine in North Dakota.
This annual gathering brought together Tribal leaders, State leaders, and community members to honor traditional food systems and explore how science, sustainability, and Indigenous knowledge come together to nourish future generations. From seed to plate, FARMS to Table is more than an event—it’s a movement.
What Made the Evening Special:
- 🍽️ A locally sourced meal highlighting Native-grown ingredients
➤ Most of the ingredients were sourced and donated from our Tribal College gardens - 🌱 Presentations from our Tribal College food sovereignty advocates
- 🎤 Live presentations and cultural performances
- 🫶 A shared commitment to community resilience and environmental stewardship
We’re grateful to everyone who made this event a success—from the volunteers and vendors to our Tribal College staff, faculty, and students along with our partners who are helping us lead the way forward in food innovation and cultural preservation.
